- Key Job Requirements Related to GD&T:
- Inspecting products on the production line to ensure adherence to GD&T specifications.
- Experience with basic measuring tools such as micrometers and other precision instruments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles in inspection and assembly.
- Familiarity with drawing measurements and tolerances.
- Other Requirements:
- SAP knowledge is not required for this role.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred in related manufacturing or assembly operations.
- Proficiency in measuring and basic understanding of technical drawings.
- Responsible for verifying incoming inspection and/or quality of products on the production line through checking with measurement instruments or equipment.
- Inspects and evaluates materials, parts and/or complete and complex assemblies for conformance to known industrial procedures, specifications and quality standards.
- Actively seeks opportunities to streamline and improve all production activities across all functional teams in a collaborative manner.
- Follows in-process inspection procedures, checks quality of work visually, and verifies inspections by completing records.
- Provide training and guidance to new inspectors in the department.
- Works closely with supervisor to ensure quality standards and shipment commitments are met.
- Able to work occasional overtime or support critical issues when needed.
- Utilizes a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.
- Escalates barriers and issues immediately to supervisor and necessary support functions.
- Establishes and maintains a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Performs other tasks as may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assets
Requirements:
- Two-year technical degree preferred, with 5 years of experience
- SAP experience a plus
