Mechanical Assembler

Job SummaryThe role involves constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components related to aerospace compressors. The technician identifies worn or faulty parts, orders replacements, and ensures machinery operates efficiently. The position primarily follows established procedures and operates under direct supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesConstruct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment and compressor components.Identify parts that need replacement and place orders as necessary.Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to complete tasks.Operate powered industrial trucks as needed.Adhere to safety standards while working around machinery, chemicals, and other physical or biological hazards. Required Skills and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.May require completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in mechanical or industrial specialties.2–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or a related field preferred.Knowledge of commonly-used mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures.Ability to follow detailed instructions and pre-established guidelines.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and perform moderate physical tasks.Basic understanding of machinery operation and industrial safety practices. Work ConditionsShift: 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PMPay: $26.00/hourExposure to machinery, chemicals, and moderate physical hazards.Work involves standing, lifting, and manual handling with moderate physical effort.Reports directly to a supervisor or manager.Company DescriptionSelect Source International (SSI) is a distinguished staffing company with nearly 25 years of experience, renowned for delivering top-tier workforce solutions encompassing staffing, recruiting, and managed services.
