Requisition Title: Inventory & Materials SpecialistLocation: Madison, WI 53718Shift: 4 9s Mon thru Thr and a 4 on Friday. Start between 0600-0730 each day. OT is expected.Estimated Hiring Timeline: 4-6 WeeksDuration: 06 months with extension potentialPay: $25/hr on W2Description: Receipt, Packaging, and Shipment of goods and equipment, inventory management, and logistics activities to maintain adequate supply of materials for all departments to ultimately support manufacturing, service, product testing, and other activities. Essential FunctionsWorking closely and communicating well with multiple departments to support their material needs.Receiving and Inspecting shipments of materials, equipment, or packages and confirming that it meets ordered quantity and quality specificationsConfirming accuracy of Bill of Lading and signing.Managing in-house inventory levels for GMP and non-GMP materials and supplies to support demands and schedules, while maintaining safety stock levelsScheduling and preparing shipments by coordinating with other departments and facilitiesLabel, package, and store all incoming and outgoing materials per product requirements and company procedures.Properly moving or dispositioning of materials per company procedures and by working with other departmentsUpdating inventory control documents and ERP system as requiredHelping identify and resolve “overstock, slow moving, and obsolete” inventoryDelivering product to the proper facility, inventory location, or departmental personnelCollaborate with all departments to help resolve inventory issues/discrepancies, problem orders, and intercompany transfer issuesAssist in physical inventory, including the annual company-wide inventory.Root cause analysis and reconciliation of cycle count discrepancies.Assist with the coordination of supply chain services, critical parts availability, material handling, and shipment of productsAssist to develop, improve, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems used within the shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics functions of the organization.May perform additional duties as requiredAble to follow instructions Minimum RequirementsRequires High School Diploma/GEDSome college preferredExperience in receiving and warehouse operations, inventory control, and/or materials management preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven team player with experience successfully interfacing with various departmentsAbility to work accurately and independentlyTime management and organizational skillsExperience working in cGMP or scientific environmentExperience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
