We’re looking for friendly, motivated, and energetic Sales Trainees to join our team in Bakersfield, California. As a Sales Trainee, you’ll represent AT&T in person, work closely with customers, and help drive sales by building relationships and offering personalized service. This Sales Trainee role is your opportunity to develop hands-on experience in sales, hone your communication skills, and grow into a full AT&T sales professional. As a Sales Trainee, you’ll make a real impact engaging with customers face-to-face, guiding them through AT&T’s offerings, and contributing directly to our sales success.
What You’ll Do as a Sales Trainee:
- Listen attentively to customers’ needs and guide them through AT&T’s service offerings in a consultative, customer‑focused manner.
- Clearly explain AT&T’s portfolio, including wireless plans, home internet, and device options so customers can make informed decisions.
- Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities during customer interactions and leverage consultative conversations to drive additional sales.
- Collaborate effectively with other Sales Trainee members to meet collective sales targets, ensuring the store consistently provides outstanding value to every customer.
- Maintain precise and up‑to‑date customer account records, manage service changes, and resolve in‑store issues promptly.
- Stay informed about AT&T’s latest plans, devices, and promotions to confidently present upgrades and new services to customers.
- Solicit and compile feedback from customer engagements and share insights with the sales team to refine our customer experience and sales strategy.
- Engage in ongoing Sales Trainee professional development by attending regular training sessions, participating in team meetings, and honing your skills to support both customers and sales goals.
What We’re Looking For in a Sales Trainee:
