About the Role
An Atlanta‑based lower middle market private equity firm is looking to bring on an associate to the investment team. The team fosters a collaborative, intellectually curious culture and builds long‑term partnerships with management teams. The associate will be based in Atlanta and will assist on transactions and take a hands-on approach to maximizing the growth of portfolio companies through various investment strategies. This role offers meaningful exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, transaction execution, and portfolio company support.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities
- Structure and negotiate the acquisition and disposition of various types of investments
- Work directly alongside executive leadership of acquired firms to drive the professionalization and profitability of their organizations
- Participate in committee discussions around potential investments and strategic initiatives
- Due diligence, valuation analysis, and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements
Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or private equity
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Experience working on M&A transactions
- Interest in smaller, operationally focused investments and working closely with management teams
