Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our client's investment team in Austin. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating, underwriting, and executing equity and credit investments in the middle market real estate space. This is a unique opportunity to work across the capital stack and gain exposure to a broad range of asset types and investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the origination, underwriting, and execution of real estate equity and credit investments.
- Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior leadership and investment committee.
- Perform market research, asset-level due diligence, and competitive analysis.
- Assist in the negotiation of deal terms and transaction documentation.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support asset management initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including brokers, lenders, legal counsel, and operating partners.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity with a focus on real estate at a premier institution.
- Strong equity investing experience is required.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Deep understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university.
Salary : $125,000
