My client is a dynamic and growing Property & Casualty insurance company committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients. This team is driven by integrity, collaboration, and a passion for excellence and is seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader to join us as AVP of Finance & Accounting.

The AVP of Finance & Accounting will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic financial planning. This leader will manage a high-performing team and collaborate cross-functionally to support business growth and operational efficiency.

• Lead the finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee statutory and GAAP financial reporting for P&C insurance operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, state insurance departments).
• Manage internal controls and support external audits.
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to analyze financial performance and trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across finance operations.
• Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the P&C insurance industry.
• Deep understanding of insurance accounting principles, statutory reporting, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
