Position Overview
A rapidly growing middle-market investment banking platform is seeking a relationship-driven Managing Director to originate and lead M&A and capital markets engagements across a variety of industries. This individual will be responsible for developing new client relationships, sourcing transaction opportunities, advising business owners and corporate clients, and partnering with internal execution teams to successfully close transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Originate sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, and capital raising engagements
- Develop and maintain relationships with CEOs, founders, private equity firms, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources
- Lead business development efforts and expand the firm's client network
- Serve as the senior advisor throughout transaction processes
- Manage client relationships from mandate through closing
- Work closely with execution teams to drive successful transaction outcomes
- Collaborate with other senior bankers on cross-selling and referral opportunities
- Contribute to the continued growth of the firm's national investment banking platform
Qualifications
- 10 years of investment banking, corporate finance, or related advisory experience
- Current or prior Managing Director, Director, Senior Vice President, Partner, or equivalent senior-level experience
- Proven track record of originating M&A, capital markets, or strategic advisory engagements
- Demonstrated history of closing transactions involving companies with $5MM EBITDA
- Established network of business owners, executives, private equity sponsors, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and referral partners
- Consistent track record of generating approximately $3MM-$5MM in annual fee revenue through originated relationships and mandates
- Demonstrated success developing long-term client relationships and winning new business
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to independently lead client engagements and drive business development initiatives
- Industry specialization is welcome but not required
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
