An established insurance organization is seeking an experienced Actuary to join its Asset Projection & Actuarial Governance team. This role will play a critical part in asset modeling, scenario generation, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives across Life, Annuity, and Long-Term Care product lines.
You'll work closely with senior leadership to enhance asset projection processes, support strategic decision-making, and ensure adherence to governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support asset projection modeling and scenario generation using tools such as AXIS and Economic Scenario Generators (ESG)
- Contribute to cash flow testing, asset modeling, and ad hoc analysis to support business and regulatory needs
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Life, Annuity, LTC, and corporate functions
- Enhance and implement improvements to asset projection models and scenario generation processes
- Act as a subject matter expert on asset projections, modeling methodologies, and scenario generation
- Ensure models and outputs align with actuarial governance standards, controls, and best practices
- Communicate findings, timelines, and progress clearly to stakeholders
- Stay current on industry trends, modeling enhancements, and emerging tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- ASA or FSA designation required
- 5 years of actuarial or asset modeling experience, with exposure to asset projections
- Strong experience with AXIS (GGY AXIS), ESG tools, and asset modeling
- Knowledge of Life, Annuity, and/or Long-Term Care products
- Solid understanding of ALM, asset projections, and cash flow testing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Programming experience (Python, SQL, VBA, MATLAB)
- Experience working within actuarial/model governance frameworks
