A growing real estate investment firm focused on acquiring and managing commercial and residential real estate assets across the Mid‑Atlantic region is seeking to add an Acquisitions Associate/VP to its team.
The Associate/VP will support the firm's acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio management activities, playing a key role across the full investment lifecycle. This position offers hands-on exposure to underwriting, transaction execution, and post-acquisition asset management while working closely with senior investment leadership in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
The role is well suited for a highly motivated professional seeking broad exposure to real estate private equity and the opportunity to develop a comprehensive investment skill set early in their career.
The Acquisitions Associate/VP will be responsible for:
- Underwriting and evaluating acquisition and development opportunities, including financial modeling, return analysis, and downside scenarios.
- Building and maintaining detailed financial models, including sources & uses, cash flows, and sensitivity analyses.
- Assisting with the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and internal analyses.
- Supporting transaction execution and due diligence from LOI through closing.
- Assisting with asset and portfolio management, including performance tracking, budgeting, and valuation analyses.
- Conducting market research, rent and sales comps, and competitive analysis.
- Preparing investor and lender reporting and supporting portfolio-level analytics.
- Coordinating with property managers, brokers, lenders, and third-party consultants.
The Acquisitions Associate/VP should have the following qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, asset management, investment banking, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Familiarity with real estate underwriting, valuation methodologies, and capital structures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability, entrepreneurial team environment.
- Self-starter with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
