Segrera Associate is working with a family office that is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This Senior Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting and finance team. They will contribute to financial health and integrity by ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing valuable financial analysis, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and continuously improving financial processes and controls.
Primary responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Supporting operations team to understand their ongoing costs and budgets.
- Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage twenty employee credit cards ensuring compliance with company policies. Exporting transactions from P-Card system into QuickBooks monthly
- Possible implementation of new accounting software.
- Balance sheet reconciliations inclusive of prepaid, accrued payables, rent receivable and payroll liabilities.
- Cash Flow forecasting
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Assisting with the implementation of Bill.com
- Reviewing all invoices to ensure proper approval is documented, amounts charged agree to proposals and amounts are properly coded in the general ledger
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Review and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive process improvements.
- Perform Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required.
- 6 years of overall experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- 2 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Budget modeling a plus
- Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, Bill.Com, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Experience creating and implementing new processes to support company growth a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
