The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial and regulatory reporting processes. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements for management, the Board of Directors, regulators, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting professional with deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and execution of accurate, timely financial statements for internal management, the Board of Directors, and external reporting purposes.
- Manage the month-end close process, including the consolidation of financial results for the organization and holding company, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of periodic regulatory reports and ensure full compliance with all applicable financial reporting requirements.
- Research and respond to inquiries from management, regulators, and internal/external auditors, providing clear written and verbal explanations.
- Establish, enhance, and document accounting policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Perform and review technical accounting research to support new transactions, policies, and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting and SEC reporting issues.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual audit processes with internal and external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for board and committee meetings.
- Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards and support implementation initiatives.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities within the financial reporting function.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of senior management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or public accounting
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
