Segrera Associates is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Orlando market to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to join their accounting team. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller and will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and a team of accounting professionals.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting leader with strong general accounting experience, a background supporting month-end close, and the ability to lead and develop a team in a growing manufacturing environment.
This role is fully on-site in the Orlando, FL area. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage and develop accounting team members while supporting department priorities and workflow
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
- Support internal and external audits while maintaining strong documentation and compliance standards
- Review accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
- Analyze financial data, account balances, and aging reports to support business decisions
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on operational and financial initiatives
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- 3 years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience required
- Manufacturing, distribution, or retail accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, debits/credits, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and audit support
- Strong Excel and ERP system experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
