Swiss CNC Machinist (Full-Time)
Location: Columbia Heights
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $30–$40/hour
We are seeking a team-oriented, career-driven Swiss CNC Machinist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both machine setup and production work, thrives in a precision-driven environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality parts—especially within the medical manufacturing industry.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines (Citizen, Tornos)
- Perform tool changes and verify proper tooling selection
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues, implementing effective solutions
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement tools and microscopes
- Maintain consistent production rates while meeting tight tolerances
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Communicate machine status and operational needs with team members
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating Swiss CNC machines
- Strong math skills (machine/shop math preferred)
- Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Ability to read and interpret prints and specifications
- Experience working with tight tolerances and complex parts
- Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Experience using microscopes for detailed inspection
- Programming experience with Swiss CNC machines (or ability to edit programs)
- Troubleshooting experience in a production environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and support/train operators
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience machining medical components, devices, or instruments
- Familiarity with Citizen and Tornos machines
- Prior experience in a medical manufacturing environment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical/trade school diploma in machining (or equivalent experience) preferred
