CNC Swiss Machinist

CNC Swiss Machinist Class 3/A Department: CNC Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: CNC Production Manager Last Updated: September 15, 2025 Summary Cass Precision Machining is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist (Class 3/A) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in set-up, programming, and operation of CNC Swiss machines, with a strong preference for experience on Tsugami equipment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality precision parts, optimizing machine performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time. • Set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss machines (preferably Tsugami) to manufacture precision components according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. • Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures for optimal machining performance. • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and troubleshooting as needed. • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure quality standards. • Maintain accurate production records and documentation. • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and Lean initiatives. • Train and mentor less experienced machinists as needed. • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
