Inventory Specialist

We are seeking an independent, efficient, and detail-oriented Material Handler / Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our inventory management, responsible for everything from unloading incoming materials to distributing parts and closing out work orders.

The ideal candidate deeply understands work orders, possesses strong organizational skills, and can confidently navigate inventory tracking systems while maintaining a safe, clean, and highly productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & System Management

• Read and understand work orders to distribute parts and accurately track inventory.
• Perform regular inventory cycle counts within Plate Stock.
• Accurately enter inventory transactions, purchase receipt data, and close out work orders in the system.
• Calculate material requirements and plate yields to optimize stock levels.
• Print and apply pallet tags and content labels for precise tracking.

Material Handling, Receiving & Logistics

• Receive all incoming material, supplies, equipment, and returned goods (including FM, Molded, and wafers).
• Safely unload trailers and small package delivery carriers.
• Operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials safely.
• Pull all FM stock and plate orders; fill primary bins in Plate Stock and Receiving.

Quality & Facility Maintenance

• Read and utilize precision measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers, to verify material dimensions.
• Maintain the FM area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and that all materials are stored properly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience tracking inventory and managing/understanding work orders.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read precision measuring tools (micrometers/calipers) and basic math skills for calculating material requirements/yields.
• Equipment: Forklift certification or the ability/experience to safely operate a forklift.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and remain active on your feet throughout the shift.
• Key Traits: High level of independence, efficiency, strong organizational skills, and a sharp attention to detail.
