Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse. This role involves tracking inventory levels, performing regular counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting inbound and outbound logistics. The Inventory Specialist works closely with warehouse and operations teams to uphold stock accuracy, optimize space utilization, and support timely order fulfillment. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with inventory systems are essential for success in this position.

- Track, manage, and organize inventory levels using warehouse management systems.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or low stock to purchasing or supply chain teams.
- Receive, label, and store incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and process outbound orders, ensuring correct inventory is picked, packed, and shipped.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions including receipts, returns, and adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve inventory-related issues such as missing, misplaced, or damaged items.
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to improve inventory flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards in handling materials.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners as needed.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year experience working in the food manufacturing industry is preferred
