What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing Business Systems team, including analysts, configuration specialists, QA, and vendor-supported developers.
- Serve as the primary technology partner for business units, translating requirements into actionable roadmaps.
- Oversee configuration, customization, and integration of core insurance platforms and ancillary systems.
- Drive agile delivery practices, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security standards while championing automation and user experience enhancements.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and resource planning.
- Collaborate across technology and analytics teams to align infrastructure and data strategies.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Eight (8) years of progressive experience in insurance business systems or application leadership
- Five (5) or more years managing software teams
- OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver’s license
- Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
- Deep experience with modern insurance core systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
- Property & casualty product knowledge (homeowners strongly preferred)
- Agile/Scrum certification and large-scale implementation experience
- Experience with leading project management and organizational tools (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, etc.)
