The Business Analyst supports the improvement of information systems and business processes for Security First Managers. This role involves collaborating with internal business units and external vendors to document system enhancements, triage and resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth implementation of configuration changes. Responsibilities include facilitating information-gathering sessions, defining requirements for projects of varying complexity, and applying organizational knowledge and best practices to assess system impacts. Work is performed under general to limited supervision, with latitude for initiative and independent judgment based on experience and professional knowledge. The position may require handling issues that range from clearly defined to moderately complex, seeking technical guidance only on unusual or highly complex problems.Essential Job Functions
- Requirements & Documentation Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements; analyze existing systems to identify improvement opportunities; translate requirements into configuration changes.
- Collaboration & Communication Work with internal teams and external partners to triage and resolve system issues; lead small meetings; provide clear status updates; maintain positive relationships across business units.
- Testing & Quality Assurance Assist in developing user acceptance testing plans and test cases; participate in peer reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Issue Management & Support Manage ticketing systems for defects and enhancement requests; troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues promptly; respond to critical events or emergency call-ins as needed.
- Compliance & Governance Follow corporate governance, risk, and compliance standards; maintain confidentiality and a strong customer service orientation.
- Technical Experience Hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow, including configuration, analysis, or support of policy, claims, or billing workflows. Ability to collaborate with development, QA, and business stakeholders within a Guidewire-based ecosystem.
- High school diploma or GED
