Position Summary:
As a Commercial & Ag Banking Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our Commercial and Ag Relationship Managers (RMs) and ensuring that our clients receive timely, accurate, and exceptional service. In this behind-the-scenes yet customer-impacting position, you will coordinate documentation, manage workflows, facilitate communication between teams, and help ensure smooth loan processing and client experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding promptly to inquiries and supporting RM/PM portfolios
- Facilitating weekly meetings to promote communication and alignment
- Collecting financial statements and required documentation for credit preparation
- Uploading, filing, and managing loan application data and workflows in Sageworks
- Creating tracking spreadsheets to support portfolio management
- Reviewing daily and monthly reports and communicating action items
- Coordinating with loan processors and following up on required documentation
- Assisting with client maintenance matters and ensuring timely resolutions
- Completing credit reference requests
- Supporting SBA, FSA, and WHEDA loan processes and documentation
- Assisting clients and RMs with various projects as needed
Secondary responsibilities include:
- Assisting in new client onboarding and implementation of bank products
- Verifying approvals, regulatory requirements, and credit policy compliance
- Supporting bank-wide and community events (client appreciation, gifts, lunches, etc.)
- Assisting with sponsorship and donation request entry
- Serving as a notary for the bank
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate degree in a business-related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of banking experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
- Professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
Working conditions, including physical requirements:
- Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance of personal injury. Frequent mental and visual concentration required in managing deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Work hours are generally daytime hours Monday–Friday.
- Periodic stressful situations may occur due to competing deadlines and customer needs.
- Serves as a representative of the organization at appropriate functions and client visits.
