Role Overview
Security Engineers seeks Unarmed Access Control Security Officers to support safety and access-controlled site security. Officers deter incidents through patrol, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, responding to alarms, and completing required reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain Security Officer/Guard License (state required)
- Minimum 18 years of age
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct foot patrols of assigned areas
- Monitor and control access points, doors, and gates
- Verify IDs, badges, and visitor credentials
- Operate basic access control and surveillance systems
- Prevent unauthorized entry and tailgating
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Complete daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce Post Orders and site security policies
- Assist employees and visitors professionally
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong situational awareness
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer/tablet reporting skills
- Availability for weekends and varied shifts
Physical Requirements
- Stand or sit 1 hour
- Walk ½ mile
- Climb facility stairs
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior security or customer service experience preferred
