Summary
The Lieutenant Security Officer oversees 24/7 security operations in a high-security manufacturing environment, providing leadership, compliance oversight, and management of physical security and access control systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years security supervisory or management experience
- 3 years verified security, law enforcement, corrections, or military experience
- Experience with access control, badging, or credentialing systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State Security License
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily security operations in a controlled-access industrial facility
- Manage guard management and access control systems
- Administer badge issuance, activation, deactivation, and access audits
- Enforce site security policies, post orders, and regulatory requirements
- Investigate access violations and security incidents
- Supervise, coach, and discipline personnel
- Coordinate with client leadership on access and security matters
- Maintain compliance documentation and reports
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and emergency response actions
Required Skills
- Strong supervisory and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of access-controlled manufacturing environments
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 operation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for a minimum of 1 hour
- Ability to walk ½ mile and climb 20 stairs without stopping
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
