Program Manager - Arts Education
Job Title: Program Manager: Arts Education. Reports to Executive Director
Full time, exempt
Compensation: $68,640
Job Purpose
The Program Manager: Arts Education leads the planning, scheduling, and delivery of SebArts' adult and youth education programs and literary arts offerings. This role manages the full program cycle — from building seasonal class schedules and hiring instructors to overseeing registration and tracking outcomes. The ideal candidate has a background in arts education, a passion for the arts, and the organizational skills to run multiple programs simultaneously.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Programming & Scheduling
- Build and publish seasonal class schedules for arts education programs.
- Identify opportunities for new or expanded programming.
- Coordinate program presence at SebArts events and community festivals.
Instructor Management
- Recruit, contract, and schedule instructors across all programs.
- Coordinate background checks and required documentation for staff working with youth.
- Support instructor onboarding and provide ongoing feedback to maintain program quality.
Registration & Student Support
- Manage class enrollment, waitlists, and registration policies.
- Serve as primary contact for students and families; resolve concerns promptly.
- Collect and file required participant documentation including waivers and consent forms.
- Gather participant feedback each program cycle to inform improvements.
Administration & Operations
- Monitor program budgets; track income and expenses against projections.
- Manage procurement of supplies and materials within approved budgets.
- Maintain class listings, SKUs, and inventory on the website and registration platforms.
- Use databases and digital tools to track attendance, metrics, and records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Arts Education, Fine Arts, Arts Administration, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of art
- Business and financial management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and web-based platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of class registration, enrollment management, or event ticketing systems
Working Conditions
- Sitting or standing for 1 hours
- 5-7 hours screen time per day on average
