This Position is for Fall of 2026. Training begins this Spring. Additional teaching hours can begin this Spring if applicant is qualified in teaching Art, Music or Dance.
Art & Soul School PRESCHOOL Culture
- We are an ARTs school offering Art, Music & Dance to the community. We have within our school a morning, half-day, program for preschoolers, ages 3-5yrs old.
- Two-day a week program: Tues/Thurs; 9am-12pm; teachers paid from 8:30am-12:30pm to include set-up and clean-up
- Each 3hr. day includes Art, Music and Dance for the preschoolers
- Morning School-Readiness Curriculum: Reggio-Emilio & Montessori based
- “Preschool Team”: We work together as a team to serve children
- Paid planning: staff meetings on Tuesdays; on-site professional development (once a year)
- Subs for Preschool Teachers: a prioritized list
- Ratios: 6:1 (2 staff: 12 max per day), plus front desk manager
- Outdoor time: lunch and playtime daily; in our outdoor space
- Lite cleaning duties & classroom set-up/break-down: the cleaners come on Tuesdays & Fridays
- LEAD TEACHER Role:
- Must have experience working with preschoolers in a classroom environment
- Lead teacher is the point-person for talking with parents
- Must lead by example with kind, conflict resolution with clear boundaries with students
- Work together as a team with other teachers so the culture feels collaborative
- Logistics:
- Pay: Lead Teacher Rate: between $30-$35/hr; Admin Rate (includes training and prep time): $18.50/hr
- 1 hr/day total of Admin pay for prep/clean-up at Admin Rate; 3 hrs./day of Lead Teacher pay
- 1 hr./wk Team Meeting at Admin rate
- Summer & Daily Prep of Curriculum (repeat from year before; able to adjust when needed)Prep Quarterly Newsletters (templates created), Announcements (templates created),, Drafting letters to parents(examples in drive), preschool event planning (calendar already has events and templates); create Progress Reports 2 x year (December and May); help team plan for annual events (Valentine's Party, Winter Holiday Party, Spring Garden Party, Graduation and more).

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
