Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plaintiff's Litigation Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This associate will be supporting our fast-growing Oregon and Southern Washington injury practice. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation, a passion for advocating on behalf of plaintiffs, and a dedication to achieving successful resolutions for our clients.
Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation proceedings. • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. • Manage your own cases, including organizing and maintaining case files, documents, and evidence. • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses. • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and trial preparation. • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation matters. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in plaintiff litigation.
Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school • Admission to the Oregon State Bar and in good standing. Interest in gaining admission to the Washington State Bar or admission to the Washington State Bar a plus. • 2 years of experience in litigation. • Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Trial experience is a plus.
