We currently have a very exciting opportunity available for a Research Scientist I V . This team is open to remote or hybrid in either Seattle, WA or New York City, NY . This role will be a 5 -month contract with the potential to extend or convert .

Responsibilities

• Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical frameworks and drive adoption of data-driven insights
• Present complex methodologies and findings to business, executive, and technical audiences
• Lead implementation of data science solutions across global marketing organizations
• Develop and validate statistical models for marketing effectiveness, including SEM, DiD , TURF, regression, segmentation, and supervised/unsupervised machine learning models (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost )
• Ensure analytical rigor by maintaining reproducible, well-documented, and statistically sound methodologies
• Build scalable frameworks that transform marketing data into actionable insights and scoring systems to optimize creative strategy and media investments
• Prototype and evaluate new methodologies for measuring marketing impact across channels including TV, digital, and social media
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and architects to design and implement data science solutions
• Stay current on trends in marketing analytics, causal inference, machine learning, and advanced analytics methodologies
• Create best practice documentation, tutorials, sample code, and analytical playbooks
• Deliver presentations and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to analytics thought leadership through case studies and knowledge sharing initiatives
• Provide customer and market feedback to support product roadmap and strategy development
• Identify opportunities for automation, tooling enhancements, and new analytical capabilities
• Execute laboratory workflows from planning through data analysis stages
• Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations to stakeholders as needed
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot instrument issues to ensure operational efficiency
• Maintain current knowledge of laboratory methods, analytical techniques, and best practices
• Provide feedback on workflows and contribute to improving throughput, efficiency, and data quality
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary research teams to extend and interpret advanced analytical methodologies
• Facilitate collaboration with internal and external partners to improve analytical methods and operational efficiencies
• Adapt to changing priorities, schedule changes, and emergency situations as needed
• Follow safety procedures related to laboratory equipment operation and handling of chemical and biohazards
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data science, statistical modeling, data analysis, or related analytical roles
• 5 years of experience with SQL, Python, R, SAS, Matlab , or similar analytical and scripting tools
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Master’s degree preferred in a quantitative or analytical field
• Experience with advanced statistical models, including multinomial logistic regression
• Experience with machine learning techniques including supervised and unsupervised models
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight , or R Shiny
• Experience managing data pipelines and scalable analytical workflows
• Leadership or mentorship experience within a data science or analytics team preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and documentation practices
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in fast-paced or entrepreneurial environments
• Hands-on expertise in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or related laboratory methodologies preferred
• Familiarity with modern laboratory data analysis tools and methodologies
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and handling of chemical and biohazards
• PhD in Life Sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology) preferred
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments at the intersection of life sciences and computer science preferred
• Experience with high-throughput research and operation of liquid handling systems preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and external stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and operational needs in research and analytical environments
  
  

Pay Range

• Pay range for this position will be $ 64.09 to $ 69.09 per hour . Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This rate is subject to change.
