Job Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (starting ~30 hours/week with potential to increase)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and approachable HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources functions in a preschool setting. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a people-facing environment, handling sensitive situations with professionalism, and supporting both employees and families.
The ideal candidate brings experience in employee relations, thrives in mission-driven environments such as education or nonprofits, and can maintain a positive, solutions-oriented mindset when addressing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a front-line HR resource for employees, handling questions, concerns, and workplace issues
- Manage and support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and face-to-face conversations
- Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts as needed (job postings, coordination, onboarding support)
- Partner with leadership to ensure a positive and compliant workplace environment
- Provide support in addressing employee concerns with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
- Help maintain HR documentation, policies, and processes
- Interact with families and staff in a school environment, maintaining a professional and welcoming presence
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a forward-facing HR role, including handling employee concerns directly
- Experience with employee relations and conflict resolution required
- Background in a school or nonprofit environment strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and professionally
- Positive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working onsite in a preschool environment with children and families
- Prior management or leadership experience is a plus
