Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Distribution Coordinator on behalf of our client, a pharmaceutical company. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing materials within the distribution and shipping operations. The Distribution Coordinator ensures accurate receiving, handling, classification, and shipment of materials in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including DOT and IATA guidelines. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational accuracy, safety, and compliance within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials for freight damage and accuracy
- Match incoming receipts against packing lists and enter data into purchasing software for payment processing
- Deliver materials to appropriate storage locations or staging areas within the facility
- Classify, label, and package pharmaceutical products for outgoing shipments in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations
- Ship materials according to established good shipping practices and company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Communicate material needs and request replenishment orders from management as required
Requirements include:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or pharmaceutical shipping preferred
- Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of purchasing or inventory systems
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and regulatory guidelines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials as needed
Certifications:
- DOT and/or IATA shipping certification preferred but not required (training may be provided)
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
- Familiarity with regulatory shipping standards (DOT and IATA preferred)
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures
