ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize practical AI solutions across their technology ecosystem. This role owns the full lifecycle of AI delivery, from initial intake and data readiness through prototyping, deployment, and ongoing monitoring. The position plays a critical role in driving measurable business impact while ensuring strong governance and scalability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build AI solutions end-to-end from intake through deployment and monitoring
- Design and maintain reliable data pipelines and curated tables and views from SQL Server and other sources
- Develop AWS Bedrock-powered GenAI and RAG solutions including summarization, extraction, Q&A, and classification
- Publish business-ready outputs to Power BI including semantic models, refresh strategies, and KPI definitions
- Deploy and productionize models and services using REST APIs, scheduled jobs, and event-driven workflows
- Maintain logging, monitoring, and operational runbooks for production systems
- Define evaluation metrics, test plans, and acceptance criteria while monitoring quality, drift, latency, and cost
- Enforce security and governance standards including least-privilege access, PII handling, auditability, and data lineage
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance to define requirements and drive adoption
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure development environment
- Ensure all systems and tools are used safely and maintained properly
PRIORITY USE CASES
- Quoting experience enhancements including AI-assisted workflows for pricing, product matching, and faster turnaround
- Product inquiry chatbot for customer Q&A and guided inquiry handling
- Product and vendor lookup across catalogs, pricing rules, and historical data
- Customer support helpdesk enablement including ticket triage, summarization, and routing
- Financial analytics including forecasting, variance analysis, anomaly detection, and executive reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 3 or more years of experience in AI or ML engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar hands-on roles
- Strong SQL skills including advanced querying and performance optimization
- Strong Python skills including data wrangling, API development, and automation
- Experience building and evaluating machine learning solutions with a solid understanding of validation and metrics
- Hands-on experience with GenAI tools such as AWS Bedrock or comparable platforms including prompt engineering and RAG concepts
- Experience deploying REST APIs and working with Git and production systems including logging and monitoring
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with clear documentation
- Working knowledge of modern AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Cortex AI
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Power BI including data modeling, measures, publishing, and governance
- Familiarity with Railway deployments, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security practices such as IAM and RBAC
- Experience with data quality frameworks, data cataloging, lineage practices, and model or experiment tracking
