What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at SeaGlass IT?
We re seeking a Procurement Buyer to support the growth of global sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations. Reporting to a Procurement or Category Manager, this role focuses on managing day-to-day purchasing activities across indirect spend categories like HR, IT, Marketing, and Finance.
What you ll do:
- Act as a key contact for stakeholders, guiding them through Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and systems (e.g., Coupa)
- Handle vendor onboarding, third-party risk management, and supplier coordination
- Manage purchase orders, invoices, contract lifecycle activities, and reporting
- Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues
- Support sourcing efforts, including RFx events, market analysis, and contract negotiations
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3 years of procurement experience in a Buyer, Purchasing Analyst, or similar role
- Experience with P2P, CLM, or Vendor Risk Management tools (e.g., Coupa)
Preferred:
- 5 years of procurement experience
- Relevant certifications such as CPSM or APICS
- Experience in a regulated or financial services environment
