The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours. How You'll Make An Impact
As a Garage Renewal Underwriter, you’ll:
- Assess insurance applications for garage lines, including risks related to auto repair shops, dealerships, and service garages.
- Evaluate property value, location, usage, safety features, and other key details to determine whether to accept, modify, or decline risks.
- Work closely with field teams to gather information and support your underwriting decisions.
- Assist senior underwriters in managing accounts and delivering excellent service to clients in the automotive industry.
- A detail-oriented approach to evaluating risks and making decisions specific to garage lines insurance.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with field teams and gather key information.
- A proactive mindset to solve problems and support account management.
- A commitment to delivering fair and accurate underwriting decisions that meet the unique needs of automotive businesses.
About You
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
- Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills
