What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Sea Pro Boats?
Job Summary:
The Accounting 1 position's main responsibility will be accounts payable and closing each production job. Other duties will include back-up for creating invoices for daily boat shipments, and other duties assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Match packing slips with invoices, key in EPICOR, then file for payment. After payments are processed, file payment stubs.
- Reconcile vendor statements to EPICOR. Request any missing information and update EPICOR.
- Close each production job and verify all materials have been posted. Update Shipments sheet as jobs are closed.
- Back-up for preparing MSO's/Invoices for each boat shipping.
- Local travel may be required to deliver mail to the post office.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn accounting software (EPICOR).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Education and Experience:
- Business or Accounting degree and/or 5-10 years' work experience.
