What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant - Sea Mist Resort position at Sea Mist Resort?
Sea Mist Resort, a 90 unit condo timeshare resort is looking for a full time Laundry Attendant. If you love the smell of freshly laundered towels, this is the job for you! This position is full time year round position. Hours are 8:00 am till 4:30 pm, 5 days week. Weekends and Holidays are a must.
Job Expectations:
1. Display a pleasant, professional and guest oriented attitude at all times.
2. Understand the importance of guest communication and satisfaction.
3. Properly maintain equipment used and operate in a safe manner.
4. Understand the safe use of all laundry equipment and laundry cleaning supplies.
5. Comply with resort and department codes, policies, procedures and regulations.
6. Consider and understand guest’s requests.
7. Be willing to participate in team efforts and communicate with fellow employees.
8. Answer the housekeeping phone in a professional manner and direct calls as required
Essential Physical Tasks: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, Sorting of dirty linens, lifting laundry in and out of washers and dryers, folding and stacking clean linen, and distributing clean linen to staff and guests. Physically be able to walk, stand for extended time, bend at knees and back, stoop, and reach above your head. The employee is on their feet most of the time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to professionally answer the phone and direct the call as needed.
