Senior Rita’s is seeking reliable, detail‑oriented Food Runners to support our service and kitchen teams by delivering dishes promptly, accurately, and with professionalism. This role is essential to maintaining the flow, timing, and presentation of service in a polished, high‑energy dining environment. Food Runners play a key role in ensuring our guests receive an exceptional and seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Verify food presentation, temperature, and accuracy before running dishes
- Clearly announce dishes when presenting food to guests
- Assist servers by maintaining table flow and service timing
- Monitor tables to support guest needs (additional plates, refires, condiments, etc.)
- Communicate professionally with kitchen and service staff regarding orders and timing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist with table pre‑bussing and resetting as needed
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
- Clear communication skills and team‑oriented mindset
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Must be able to follow direction and work collaboratively
- Must be able to obtain required Florida food safety certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to carry multiple plates and lift up to 35 lbs
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
