The Role:
As the founding Director of Sales, you will take full ownership of building and scaling the commercial function as the company enters its next phase of growth. This is a senior, high-impact role where you’ll develop and execute sales strategies, processes, and playbooks that accelerate revenue growth across multiple industries. You’ll partner closely with the founders and leadership team to define the go-to-market (GTM) approach and establish a world-class sales organization.

What You'll Do and Achieve:
- Define and lead the company’s overall sales strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Consistently drive sales performance by exceeding revenue targets through both new business acquisition and strategic account growth.
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing sales team, instilling best practices in enterprise sales execution, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Establish sales playbooks and methodologies that enable repeatable success in complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Cultivate strong relationships with C-level executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders across industries, with a particular emphasis on financial services and enterprise accounts.
- Oversee the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and pipeline generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions, messaging, and go-to-market campaigns that resonate with target industries.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand presence and expand market reach.
- Provide data-driven insights and reporting to leadership, ensuring accountability and transparency in sales performance.
- Champion a customer-centric culture, ensuring long-term partnerships and retention of key accounts.
Who You Are:
- 7 years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role.
- NYC-centric, able to be in the office 4 days per week
- Player-coach mentality initially, ability to be a hands-on seller as the team grows
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams in a fast-growth start-up environment.
- Experience selling to enterprise clients in the banking and private equity space
- Strong network of senior decision-makers within these industries, particularly banking and business leaders
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing GTM strategies that consistently deliver revenue growth.
- Comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with long lead times.
- Prior experience with artificial intelligence or advanced technology solutions is highly desirable.
- Excellent communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder with strong executive presence.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and adaptable — thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
