Dental Receptionist
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (Monday through Thursday). Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the following areas
- Dental Receptionist Experience
- General dentistry
- Handling PPO Insurance, preauthorizations, billing and posting of insurance payments
- Collecting and posting private payments from patients
- Treatment planning and estimates
- Scheduling for multiple providers
- Multitasking
- Multiple phone lines
- Hygiene Recall
- Eaglesoft (is a plus)
We are a well-established general dental practice seeking an experienced, energetic receptionist. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the multiple aspects of a receptionist position as well as a self-starter, great at multitasking, able to take direction and a great team player. We have both a general dentist and an orthodontist. This position will require someone who is both confident and friendly, as you will be working closely with our patients. This will eventually evolve into an office manager position.
A typical day involves:
- Checking patients in and out
- Scheduling for both doctors and hygienists
- Preparing charts and confirming appointments
- Being primarily responsible for handling emails and multiple phone lines
- Verifying insurance, billing for services/follow up, collecting and entering payments
- Coordinating appointments with specialists and treatment planning
- Maintaining both a full schedule for the doctors and our 2 hygienists
- Managing all the new patients for the practice
- Hygiene Recall, mailing out postcards and calling when patient due
