Role Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee all daily operations for the commercial division, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the company’s high standards. This individual will lead a team of project managers and field personnel while driving process improvement, profitability, and professional growth within the team.
This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys balancing strategic direction with hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operations of a busy, high-performing department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, superintendents, and field staff.
- Oversee all project execution from planning and scheduling through fabrication, installation, and closeout.
- Manage department budgets, forecasts, and key performance metrics.
- Implement process improvements to strengthen safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate staffing and workload planning to meet project schedules and client expectations.
- Foster communication and collaboration across teams to support consistent project delivery.
- Partner with senior leadership to set strategic goals, track performance, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and consistent results.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability across all operations.
What You Bring
- 8–15 years of experience in construction operations, project management, or departmental leadership, ideally within the commercial glass, glazing, or specialty trades sector.
- Proven success managing multiple teams and complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience with scheduling, budgets, and cost control for commercial construction projects.
- Strong financial understanding and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office (or similar project management tools).
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
