What You Will Do
- Handle complex wage and hour class action litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, including class certification, dispositive motions, and discovery-related motions
- Conduct depositions, manage written discovery, and oversee case development strategy
- Analyze payroll, timekeeping, and employment records to support litigation claims
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on strategy, investigations, and trial preparation
- Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
- Prepare cases for trial and support trial proceedings as needed
- Maintain strong client communication and advocate effectively on behalf of employees
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performing litigation environment
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Illinois State Bar license in good standing
- 5 to 10 years of employment litigation experience with significant wage and hour class action exposure
- Experience handling plaintiff-side class action litigation matters
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while collaborating effectively within a team
- Excellent organizational and case management skills
- Trial preparation and deposition experience preferred
- Base Salary Range: $150,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and overall fit
