Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Vice President of Engineering & Technology for our client, a nonprofit tech company out of New York! This direct hire opportunity offers a hybrid schedule in Midtown Manhattan. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

- Team & Vendor Management: Build, mentor, and scale engineering teams; oversee external vendor relationships and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Operations to translate strategic goals into actionable technical initiatives.
- Innovation & Security: Drive AI applications, automation, and best practices for security and compliance to enhance operational efficiency and protect assets.
- 10 years in software and technology with significant leadership experience steering multi-disciplinary teams
- Proven expertise in web platforms, cloud infrastructure, and modern architectural patterns
- Deep experience leading modernization/replatforming initiatives i.e. migrating from monolithic systems to microservices, APIs, and cloud-native infrastructures
- Strong background in e-commerce required
- Skilled at operating both strategically and tactically, translating business needs into technical solutions
- Experience in auctions or marketplace platforms a plus
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications and automation preferred
- Track record of scaling organizations during periods of growth or transformation desired
