Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for IT Systems & Network Administrator for a growing, multi-location organization that relies on modern technology infrastructure to support operations and deliver seamless user experiences across distributed teams. This is a direct hire opportunity onsite in Chicago, IL.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The IT Systems & Network Administrator will support and maintain core infrastructure across networking, systems, and end-user environments. This role is responsible for ensuring secure access, system reliability, and efficient IT operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting, collaborating with teams, and supporting both technical systems and end users.

- Manage and maintain user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings in accordance with company policies and access controls
- Support the planning, testing, and deployment of system updates, enhancements, and new software implementations across the organization
- Partner with external vendors and service providers to support POS systems, resolve network issues, and manage software licensing
- Perform regular system backups, patch management, and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability, security, and data integrity
- Monitor and maintain servers and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and uptime
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including Windows servers, desktops, POS systems, printers, and related peripherals
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for end users, including account setup, permissions management, laptop provisioning, and resolving escalated issues, while supporting workflows, reporting, and system configurations to improve operational efficiency
- Minimum 4 years of experience in systems administration with some network engineering experience.
- Experience with networking technologies including Cisco Meraki (switches, access points, and related tools)
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft environments, including Office 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience with Active Directory administration, including user provisioning, permissions, and group policy
- Familiarity with VPN access, VoIP systems, server environments (Windows Server), and backup processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Any experience with POS systems (updates, network issues & software licensing) is highly preferred
