About the Role:
Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Medium Voltage Regulatory Expert for our client.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior-level Medium Voltage Regulatory Expert to lead our compliance efforts in the growing medium voltage (<100kV) product line. This vital role involves shaping and aligning our strategies with industry codes and standards, ensuring our offerings meet regulatory requirements across markets, and representing our interests in standards development committees. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in medium voltage systems, a strong regulatory background, and a passion for advancing innovative energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
10 years of experience defining, deploying, and navigating codes and standards for medium voltage systems (Expertise in U.S. regulatory frameworks with a track record of active participation in standards development and industry representation; international exposure (EU/ROW) is a strong plus. Deep knowledge of installation, handling, safety, and compliance considerations for medium voltage equipment. Engineering or technical background with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline. Proven ability to influence standards development and engage with regulatory bodies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, interpret, and deploy relevant codes and standards for medium voltage systems, with a focus on U.S. regulations and awareness of international (EU/ROW) standards.
- Provide authoritative guidance on installation, handling, and compliance requirements for medium voltage equipment.
- Lead their regulatory compliance strategy for medium voltage products, ensuring timely integration into product development
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed regulatory requirements into product design, testing, and deployment plans.
- Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and advise on potential impacts and opportunities for expansion.
- Support training and communication initiatives to ensure internal teams stay aligned with compliance protocols.

- Within 3 months: Achieve a comprehensive understanding of the client's medium voltage roadmap and current compliance needs. Establish relationships with key stakeholders and industry groups.
