HR Generalist

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Generalist on behalf of a growing and dynamic organization. This is an exceptional direct-hire opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting HR operations and employee experience across multiple business units.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Generalist will perform a broad range of human resources functions, supporting employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This role serves as a key partner to leadership and employees, helping to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment matters
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions
• Support managers with coaching, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions
• Partner with hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes
• Coordinate job postings, interviews, and candidate communications
• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring completion of required documentation
• Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment processes
• Manage leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and applicable state leaves
• Maintain compliance with employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ACA, ADA, and EEOC regulations
• Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure HRIS data integrity
• Support audits, reporting, and HR metrics tracking
• Assist with performance management, employee development, and training initiatives
• Support payroll coordination and timekeeping compliance
• Contribute to HR projects and organizational initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred (relevant experience considered in lieu of degree)
• 2–3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and compliance regulations
• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers a base salary of $65,000–$75,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, supplemental health insurance, and opportunities for career growth.
