Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Finite Element Analysis Engineer for our client, a global leader in energy technology in Petaluma, CA! This is a full-time, direct hire position based onsite in Petaluma.
Position Overview
This role focuses on the magnetic, thermal, electrostatic, and structural analysis of magnetic component designs, with a particular emphasis on medium voltage (less than 100kV) isolation-rated transformers. The FEA Engineer will play a key role in optimizing magnetic components for high-volume manufacturing, working closely with our supply chain partners to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

- Perform advanced finite element analysis on magnetic, thermal, electrostatic, and structural aspects of magnetic components.
- Develop and validate simulation models to predict component performance under various operating conditions.
- Support the design and development of medium voltage isolation transformers, focusing on safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Document analysis processes, findings, and design recommendations.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in magnetics analysis using finite element methods.
- Proven expertise in medium voltage and electrostatic analysis preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic, thermal, and structural simulation tools.
