What you'll be doing:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, dashboards, and variance reports to support informed decision-making.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and multi-year projections to guide organizational planning, sustainability efforts, and grant-funded programs.
- Monitor financial performance across programs and funding streams, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency and long-term viability.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership, program directors, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the full fiscal lifecycle of local, state, federal, and private grants, including budget development, fund allocation, tracking, reporting, and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, regulatory requirements, and applicable cost principles, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
- Prepare reimbursement requests, financial reports, drawdowns, and supporting documentation for grantors.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records for all grants and restricted funds.
- Partner with program staff to ensure expenditures align with grant deliverables, allowable costs, and approved timelines.
- Lead or support the annual budgeting process for organization-wide operations and grant proposals.
- Track budgets monthly, analyze variances, and proactively communicate financial risks or adjustments to leadership.
- Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience, including 2 years managing nonprofit grants or restricted funds.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, fund accounting, and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
