This is a full-time, primarily onsite role located in Port Hadlock, WA, with hybrid flexibility considered for exceptional candidates.

This hands-on Finance Officer will oversee all fiscal activities for the organization and its affiliated ventures, managing both nonprofit and business operations during an exciting transitional period. The role combines operational accounting, strategic oversight, and financial reporting to ensure stability, compliance, and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, collaborative, and comfortable handling complex financial operations with professionalism and precision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for nonprofit and for-profit operations
- Maintain compliance with grant and fund accounting requirements, GAAP standards, and federal/state regulations
- Conduct variance analyses and track cash flow to support strategic decisions
- Collaborate with leadership and the board to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Ensure internal controls and financial transparency across all organizational activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit fund accounting, and grant management
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexible, solutions-oriented, and mission-driven mindset
- Ability to manage complex financial operations while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The organization offers a competitive salary range of $70,000–$75,000 with potential flexibility for exceptional candidates.
