Part Time Bookkeeper

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Part-Time Bookkeeper for a specialty business located in Clawson, Michigan. This is a temporary, onsite position expected to last approximately 3–4 weeks and offers a flexible part-time schedule of 20–25 hours per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Part-Time Bookkeeper will provide hands-on accounting support during a temporary leave and help ensure day-to-day financial operations continue smoothly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Sage Accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a small-team environment. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, with the opportunity to work 3–4 days per week during the company's Monday–Friday operating hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities during a temporary leave
• Enter and maintain accurate financial transactions using Sage Accounting
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
• Review financial records for accuracy and help resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
• Provide general accounting support to help ensure a smooth transition during the assignment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on Sage Accounting experience is required
• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Availability to work 20–25 hours per week, 3–4 days per week, onsite in Clawson

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This temporary, part-time position offers $18/hour for approximately 20–25 hours per week over a 3–4 week assignment. The schedule is flexible, with hours worked Monday–Friday between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM, based on the needs of the selected candidate and the organization.
