Employment Litigation Attorney

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Employment Litigation Attorney on behalf of a full-service business law firm in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is a driven employment attorney who thrives in a fast-paced practice, delivers strategic counsel to employers, and is eager to take an active role in complex litigation and client advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination cases, and class actions.
• Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
• Handle administrative agency charges and pre-litigation employment disputes.
• Provide guidance regarding leave laws, disability accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and related employment matters.
• Assist with policy development, compliance training, and proactive counseling for employer clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 3-5 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters, including wage and hour, class action, discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and California wage and hour laws.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases effectively and deliver excellent client service.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range of $190,000–$240,000, depending on experience.
