Corporate Accountant

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Corporate Accountant on behalf of a growing, healthcare-focused organization. This is a Part-Time (3 days a week), on-site opportunity based in Denver, Colorado, supporting accounting operations during a key leadership transition.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for managing general accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities across a multi-location healthcare environment. This role supports budgeting, operational analysis, and compliance while partnering closely with executive leadership. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and month-end close
• Oversee accounts payable, cash activity, payroll and benefits entries across integrated systems
• Prepare monthly financial statements, operational reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Produce and present census, revenue, payor mix, length of stay, and EBITDA reporting
• Maintain fixed assets, vendor relationships, 1099 reporting, and audit support
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is REQUIRED
• Hands-on accounting, general ledger, and bookkeeping experience
• Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filters, advanced formulas)
• Experience working within EMR systems, payroll platforms (ADP), and integrated financial software
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This role offers competitive hourly pay $40–$50/hour, with flexibility based on experience and skill set. The position is structured as a temporary engagement with strong potential for temp-to-hire conversion, offering long-term stability and growth within a healthcare-focused organization.
