Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an
Electrical Strategy Sourcing Manager
for an innovative and rapidly scaling technology organization supporting next-generation infrastructure projects
. This is a direct hire, full time hybrid role based in either Austin, TX, San Francisco, CA or NYC.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This strategic role oversees sourcing, supply chain planning, and procurement for critical electrical equipment supporting large-scale infrastructure build-outs. The position collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, construction, operations, finance, and supplier partners to ensure reliable delivery and operational continuity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead sourcing and procurement strategies for electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, busway, and ATS
• Manage supplier negotiations, contracts, performance reviews, KPIs, and escalation workflows
• Develop and maintain master production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints
• Oversee lifecycle of owner-furnished contractor-installed equipment from purchase through commissioning
• Partner with engineering, construction, logistics, and operations teams to ensure delivery readiness and timeline alignment
• Coordinate shipping, storage, and asset allocation strategies for major equipment
• Improve planning processes through documentation, system integrity checks, and digital workflow enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations or related field. Master's preferred.
• 5 years experience in strategic sourcing or category management within data center, cloud, or large-scale infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical MEP categories and data center construction requirements
• Skilled in supplier management, risk mitigation, contract negotiations and cross-functional collaboration
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), planning and APS tools.
• Comfortable managing high-value contracts ($50M ) and multi-vendor delivery models and strategies.
• Ability to develop process documentation, playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Willingness to travel to project sites (data centers), industry events and vendor facilities as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a highly competitive base salary ranging from
$200,000 to $300,000
(DOE), skill set, and location, along with equity eligibility.
