Reports To: Quality Control Manager

The Electrical Quality Inspector ensures all electrical installations, equipment, and systems in oilfield operations comply with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This role is critical for maintaining operational integrity and preventing electrical hazards in high-risk environments.

• Inspect and verify electrical systems, wiring, and components for compliance with applicable codes (NEC, API, IEC) and company standards.
• Conduct routine and final inspections on electrical installations in drilling rigs, production facilities, and related oilfield infrastructure.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Witness continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing of electrical circuits and equipment.
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records in accordance with QA/QC procedures.
• Identify non-conformances, issue corrective action requests, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during electrical work.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical inspection within oil and gas or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and oilfield safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using electrical testing instruments and QA/QC documentation tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof equipment.
• Experience with commissioning and start-up of oilfield electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.

• Ability to work in outdoor oilfield environments under varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required by project schedules.
